LouvreTourGuide.com is an independent editorial platform built to help visitors navigate the most expensive per-minute monument experience in Europe. Intercoper's 505-tour pricing study found the Louvre costs $1.60 per minute of guided experience — 2.3x more than Pompeii and the highest of any major European monument. This site exists to help travelers find value in a market where the average tour costs $194 and durations average just 2.6 hours.

The platform curates and tracks 94 tour products sourced from GetYourGuide, covering every format: small-group highlights tours, semi-private visits, family treasure hunts, night tours, extended masterpiece routes, and full-day Paris combos. A custom cron system runs Monday and Thursday at 6:00 AM UTC, scraping current prices, ratings, and review counts and patching Sanity documents automatically — including PortableText content, SEO descriptions, and editorial reviews.

The editorial layer includes 12 original articles following Intercoper's GEO-first format: navigation guides, masterpiece maps with room numbers, family-friendly routes by age, ticket purchasing step-by-step guides, accessibility resources, crowd-level analysis by month and time of day, free admission guides with exact 2026 dates, and an honest "Is the Louvre Worth It?" opinion piece. Each article follows a strict structure — Quick Answer component, Quick Inline Q&A blocks at strategic H2 positions, HTML comparison tables, and 6 FAQs with answer-first format — designed for direct citation by AI engines.

The content architecture addresses a specific Louvre challenge: the museum is 7 to 8 kilometers of galleries, and most visitors have 2 to 3 hours. Every article and tour page is built around the question of what to prioritize — which masterpieces, which wings, which route, and how much time each section requires. Three detailed sample routes (90-minute, 2–3 hour, and half-day) with specific room numbers give visitors a concrete plan instead of generic advice.

Technical infrastructure runs on Next.js 14 with Sanity CMS, deployed on Vercel with Dynadot DNS. The TestimonialCarousel is localized for international audiences. Schema markup covers WebPage, FAQPage, and BreadcrumbList across all page types. A hierarchical autolinker distributes internal authority between tour pages, hub pages, and editorial articles.

As part of Intercoper's cross-monument research, the site contributed 94 data points to the 505-tour pricing study — producing the finding that the Louvre has an 8.8x markup over its €22 official ticket and that its most extreme product (a Family Treasure Hunt) charges $6.13 per minute — the highest per-minute cost of any single tour across all five monuments studied.

The editorial position is transparent: LouvreTourGuide is not affiliated with the Musée du Louvre, does not sell tickets directly, and does not rank tours by commission. Revenue comes from affiliate partnerships with full editorial independence over rankings, comparisons, and recommendations.
